Make sure you check our Facebook Page for what is coming up this Sunday. Since COVID happened, our sense was that God didn’t just want us returning back to what we’d always done.

So, we have embraced new rhythms which means our Sunday gathering may be different to what you might be used to.

Our services have been described as “relaxed” and “informal”. Having kids running around making noise is just part of a usual Sunday for us!

You don’t have to dress up, t-shirts and thongs are totally OK – wear whatever you’re comfortable in.

In non-COVID times we had a children’s program during school terms but at the moment, we involve kids in the service and provide them activities to do during the sermon.

A typical Sunday service includes singing songs to God, prayer (talking to God), sermon (a talk from the Bible that applies to our lives) and communion (remembering Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross). You can participate in as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

Another Sunday rhythm of ours is gathering for a meal. We’ve had lunch together at church, in the park and at the Bowlo.

“Breaking Bread” together helps us to connect at an authentic level with one another. It’s also an informal environment we can invite others to be a part of.

Another aspect of our rhythms is serving our community.

For us, church isn’t just about coming together for our own benefit on Sundays. We also want to make a positive difference in our community demonstrating Jesus’ love to those in our neighbourhood.

We have participated in working bees at our local primary school, yard work for people recovering from surgery and put together hampers and frozen meals for those doing it tough.
